Measuring your Finished Opening Size
When ordering new doors it is important to measure your finished opening. The finished opening is the inside measurements of the door jamb.

MEASURE FINISHED OPENING SIZE

a. Finished Opening Size Not Door Size

b. Eliason Corporation will determine door size based on door type and clearances specified.

c. How many locations need to be measured?

d. Height – Measure from floor to top of door opening. Take 3 measurements.

• Left Side
• Center
• Right Side

e. Width – Measure from left jamb to right jamb of door opening. Take 3 measurements.

• Top
• Center
• Bottom

f. What if all three measurements are not the same?

g. Use the smallest/narrowest dimension to ensure the door will fit in the door opening.
